Dina was born in Forest Hills in Queens. New York. But she relocated in Dix Hills on Long Island just before she finished her senior year. She has two siblings, an older brother whose name is Gregory and a younger one known as Evan. Her first exposure to the industry of entertainment was when she did some modeling at the age of 9 to sixteen. Ron Stetson was her teacher at The Neighborhood Playhouse where she started studying Sanford Meisner's acting techniques for approximately three years. Sandra Bullock was among those who studied by this method, as well as Michael Douglas, Jeff Goldblum Leslie Nielsen and Diane Keaton. Her first role was in the soap-opera Beverly Hills, 90210, that required her to relocate out to Los Angeles. After securing the lead role on Johnny Mnemonic where she did all of the stunts herself, she positioned her self as an actor that is athletic. It was through the agency for talent of Matt LeBlanc that she was able score a recurring part on Friends.
